dc.description In the evolution framework of modern society confl icts, even though not of a global outreach, have unprececedently increased in number and effects. As a result, human security, has become of top concern in democratic states. In order to understand this trend and as a result of the importance acquiered by the the concept of “human security”, it is important to undertake an investigation into its dimensions and variables. Thus, the assumption underlying this article is that human security is both a consequence and an incentive for the national and international security.
