dc.description In the article the program documents specifying the contents of a modern teacher of informatics’ professional training are analyzed; the role and place of a teacher of informatics in the work on the formation of the culture of media consumption with schoolchildren are considered. This activity requires special approaches to the contents and methodology of the professional and pedagogical training oriented to the formation of the culture of media consumption with schoolchildren. The article also deals with a step by step technology of training teachers of informatics for the formation of the culture of media consumption with schoolchildren which consists of a row of interconnected components: objective, content (comprising the knowledge which is the most important in the training of a specialist for the professional activity in question), processual (comprising the definition of methods, forms and means of education which must contribute to the training of teachers of informatics for the activity connected with the formation of the culture of media consumption with schoolchildren at all its stages), diagnostic (supposing the reveal of the level of readiness of future teachers of informatics for the activity connected with the formation of the culture of media consumption with schoolchildren within the framework of all the stages of its realization), resultative.
