dc.description The article describes the concept of triangulation as a strategy of empirical social research. First there is a description of the development and the content of the concept, followed by critics and emerging advantages and disadvantages for practical research.Afterwards the application of a methodical triangulation is exemplified by an already accomplished study. Special features, effectiveness and efficiency of the methodical triangulation are described by the representation of a study which deals with effects and preconditions of accessible web content for people with cognitive disabilities.
