A study on the quality of life in dental patients is presented, a wide range of methods to assess it is given. The most frequently used scales and questionnaires to assess the quality of life are selected and studied, such as GOHAI, OHIP-14, DIDL, OHPQoL, OIDP and others, their complete characterization is given, the views of foreign and local researchers to develop and apply different methods to assess the quality of life are considered. The dependence of the mental, physical, emotional and social well-being of the person on oral health is shown. The conclusions about the need for further study of the criteria of quality of life for the means-testing in dental care and efficient planning service are made. The importance of drawing up questionnaires individually for each studied pathology is shown, as this contributes to a more accurate assessment of the quality of life and is the most preferred. |
