dc.description El artículo presenta los resultados alcanzados en una investigación encaminada a determinar un modelo pedagógico, sustentado sobre bases teóricas y científicas contemporáneas, que contribuya desde lo académico al desarrollo del valor responsabilidad profesional en estudiantes universitarios de Ciencias e Ingeniería. Este modelo ha sido aplicado exitosamente en asignaturas y disciplinas que se imparten en la Universidad Austral de Chile y en el Instituto Superior Politécnico José Antonio Echeverría de Cuba y por su carácter generalizador es posible aplicarlo en otras especialidades universitarias, siempre y cuando se adecúe a las características particulares de las diferentes áreas del saber<br>The paper presents the results of an investigation carried out to determine a pedagogic model, supported on contemporary theoretical and scientific bases that contribute to the development of the value professional responsibility in university students of Sciences and Engineering. This model has been applied successfully in subjects and disciplines taught in the Universidad Austral de Chile and in the Instituto Superior Politécnico José Antonio Echeverría from Cuba. Because of its generalizing character it is possible to apply it in other university areas, provided it is adapted to the peculiar characteristics of the different areas of t knowledge
