dc.description	The article regards peculiarities of collecting the data about the synaesthetic metaphor from the Russian National Corpus. Possibilities which this corpus gives to the researcher of this language phenomenon are shown and discussed. Peculiarities of color-sound metaphors in the Russian texts belonging to different styles and genres are shown, typical synaesthetic patterns and color and sound terms representing them are defined, contexts in which color-sound metaphors function in the texts of the past decade are analyzed. Possibilities of the further research aimed at studying linguocultural specificity of the synaesthetic metaphor are marked.
