The purpose of this study was to reveal the accommodation and nourishment situation of student attending in to school Physical Education and Sport Academy, at Gazi University . A questionnaire included in 20 questions was applied to randomly choosen 243 students from third and fourth year , 133 in male and 110 females . For the male students, it was found that the average age of the students answering to the questionnaire was 22,85 ± 2,03 and% 64 of selves n = 84) have been staying in rental house, % 64 of them (n = 27) have been staying with his/her familyand % 77,4 of these families have their own house. It is also found that considering daily meals the students (% 34) usualy prefer dinner ,and that 110 students have spent montly 126,636,400 TL for food while 23 students gave no response to their food expenditure. For the female students, it was found that the average age of the student answering to the questionnaire was 21,66 ± 1,94 and % 53,6 of them (n = 59) have been staying in rental house, % 24,4 of them (n = 27) have been staying with his/her family and % 74,5 of these families have their own house. It is also found that considering daily meals the students (% 32,4) usualy prefer dinner ,and that 89 students have spent montly 116,404,500 TL for food while 21 students gave no response to their food expenditure.In conclusion, it is found that both male and female students have a tendency to stay houses since the students have felt that staying in a house is more comfortable and economical as well.The calculations of descriptive statistics, standard deviation and percentage values of the data were statistically carried out. |
