Purpose research is to analyze the characteristics of a prisoner’s family like a family caught up in complicated reality situation, to identify families’ strategies concerning to prisoners and to determine reasons of identified strategies. Methodology of research is semi-structured interview within qualitative study. Results of research. Family strategies concerning to prisoners such as a strategy for a stable connection and a strategy of distancing are identified. The bases of these strategies are detected. Interpretation of social difficulties, psychological difficulties and economic difficulties faced by the family of a prisoner in a stable implementation of the strategy for a stable connection is presented. The role of these strategies within the structure of prisoners’ resocialization is shown. Practical implications are suggested the development of the social and rehabilitative programs for the prisoner’s family, the practical activities of social workers and workers of prison system and law enforcement agencies. |
