University Students’ Opinions about Preschool Education (The Sample of Ondokuz Mayis University)

dc.description	Today having knowledge and consciousness of parents about Early Childhood Education (E.C.E.) leads to high rates of E.C.E. in the most developed countries. The reason of the low rates in E.C.E. in Turkey show that parents have insufficient knowledge and consciousness about this issue. In terms of this basic reason, in this study, the university students’, who are young and dynamic parents of the future, opinions about E.C.E. were investigated. Total 310 students from the Faculties of Education, Science and Literature, Engineering, Dentistry, Agriculture and Theology, were participated. After reliability and validity studies of the questionnaire, it was given to students who were chosen randomly.According to findings, while the students’ views did not change in the direction of gender and parents’ job, there were differences in respect of parents’ education, which is the more educational rate the more differences.
