dc.description The paper presents research carried in the extent of the elaboration of the dissertation of Master's degree accomplished in the Universidade Severino Sombra (Vassouras / RJ), in the masters degree program, Stricto Sensu, in mathematical education. The objective of the work was to investigate them know and the workers' practices the lines of transmission of transport of the electric power in the State of Rio de Janeiro. The theoretical research was defined from the perspective of the program ethnomathematical presented by Ubiratan D'Ambrosio and Paulo Freire. In research, we selected examples and you practice of lived tasks by the workers, setting up parallel with the scientific knowledge. Data analysis identified that is at work, by experience, that builds the knowledge of those who could not be at school for a long time allowing them to seize the "laws of engineering." Will be "the knowledge of experience done," presented by Freire who, that when confronting, daily, with the physical wear and tear, with the fatigue, allow workers to live the formation during and in the work.
