dc.description Este trabalho pretende analisar discursos presentes na escola, relacionados com a química enquanto componente disciplinar, explorando para isso, o conceito de "lugar" e suas implicações para o estudo da evolução dessa disciplina no currículo em ação no contexto escolar. Ao se buscar uma compreensão da problemática posta, foram entrevistados diferentes atores na escola: professores, alunos, funcionários, diretores, coordenadores, propondo a seguinte questão: "Qual é o lugar da Química na escola?" A essa pergunta, foi produzido um espectro amplo de manifestações, que aqui serão analisadas à luz da problemática já exposta e de um quadro teórico que se apóia em De Certeau, Goodson, entre outros.<br>ABSTRACT: This work analyzes attitudes at school related to chemistry, exploring the concept of place and its influences on the evolution of that discipline within the curriculum as it is active in the scholars' context. For understanding the problem, different actors at school: teachers, students, employees, directors, have been interviewed with the following question - What is the place of Chemistry in school? From this question, a large spectrum of replies was produced. The results are analyzed in the light of the problem already expressed and from one theoretical perspective that is provided by De Certeau, Goodson, among another.
