dc.description Contemporary world requires continuous learning – in all areas of life. It puts before the people working on different levels of education entirely new tasks. The tasks are linked with preparing the new generation for coping with the new requirements. One can make use of the multimedial programs focused at faster reading, better remembering or more effective planning of our time. The most important benefits for education coming from the development and progress in multimedia are: possibility of adjusting the pace of work to the learner’s needs, no stress, independence, attractive information transfer and no financial, space and time limitations. On the Polish education market exists a Virtual University, which uses multimedia, Internet for teaching students of several specialities. Beside this, on the publishing market new multimedial programs start to appear, which support skills important for the present pupil, student and employee.
