<p class="p1">The article shows the philosophical and pedagogical framework as a result of a documentary research. It presents the basic abilities of the educator on a personalizing point of view. They are the cooperative labor, the integration of individual and social issues of the educative process; listening and teaching, the role of the person as a means among the knowledge possibilities and the object to be known. Finally, the learner who is able to be apart from the authoritarianism and encourages updating, research and self-criticism.</p><br><p class="p1">El artículo da cuenta de las capacidades básicas del educador en términos personalizantes; estos haberes se agrupan en: la labor cooperativa; el desarrollo de conocimientos y aptitudes; el ejercicio y fomento de la creatividad; la integración de los elementos individuales y sociales del proceso educativo; la escucha junto a la orientación; el papel de personamedio entre las posibilidades de conocimiento y el objeto que puede ser conocido; y, finalmente, el carácter de aprendiz, que le permite desligarse del autoritarismo y a la vez fomenta la actualización, la investigación y la autocrítica.
