dc.description The article deals with the investigation mechanism of foreign language abilities through individual psychological peculiarities of students. Correlations between successful language mastering, test findings of verbal memory and abilities of singling out functional linguistic signs are determined, the necessity of carrying out psycholinguistic tests being discussed.
