dc.description	Resumen:Los retos del contexto en que se desenvuelve la educación superior actualmente y la necesidad de un proceso reflexivo y critico que deben asumir los docentes antes de iniciar una modificación a un plan de estudios es el interés fundamental de este ensayo. En él se hace referencia a los desafíos que plantea la globalización a la universidad entre ellos abrir espacios para nuevas propuestas educativas innovadoras como las que propone el proyecto Tunning en cuanto a la formación por competencias. En carreras como Enfermería estas competencias pueden llevarla a retroceder en el proceso de consolidación en el campo de las profesiones en salud, debido a que están fundamentadas en el hacer, más que en el saber, por lo tanto, es necesario un proceso de análisis y comprensión del significado de los fundamentos del currículo y las implicaciones de una modificación curricular en los intereses de una disciplina pues estos cambios materializados en un plan de estudios determinan el rumbo de una profesión . Se concluye que estas innovaciones curriculares deben fundamentarse en criterios que impulsen el desarrollo integral del ser humano además de la excelencia profesional. El modelo de formación por competencias requiere una reflexión crítica a partir de los enfoques epistemológicos del currículo, y en Enfermería es necesario que el cuerpo docente reflexione sobre el futuro de esta profesión antes de modificar su plan de estudios.Abstract:These days what’s left of the superior education context is progressing and the need of a reflective and critic process that must be assumed by the teaching crew before altera study plan is the fundamental interest of this essay. In it is refered the challenges that the globalization gives to the University, one of them is to give room to innovative educational proposals like those propose in the Tunning Proyect about training by competence. In Careers like Nursing, this competence can take backwards the progress of the career’s consolidaton in the field of Health, because is based on the practice, rather than the knowledge, therefore, is necessary a process of analysis and understanding of the meaning of the basis of the cirriculum and the implications of a modification at the curriculum in the interests of a dicipline since this changes builted in a study plan will determine the course of a profession. It’s concluded that this curricular innovations must be based in criterions that impulse the integral development of the human bean besides the profession excellence. The model of training by competence requires a critic thinking from the epistemologic approach of the curriculum, and in Nursing is required that the teaching crew thinks about the future of the profession before alter their study plan.
