dc.description El ensayo presenta impresiones académicas sobre los mecanismos de aseguramiento de la calidad de la Educación Superior, mediante el análisis histórico de la regulación universitaria y la conceptualización de los enfoques evaluativos vigentes en la materia. Además, relata las experiencias vividas por el autor, en su rol de Coordinador del proceso de Autoevaluación del Programa de Magíster en Educación, mención Política y Gestión Educativas de la Universidad Austral de Chile ante la Comisión Nacional de Acreditación de Postgrado, deteniéndose en las implicancias prácticas y teóricas del proceso. Finalmente, concluye con algunas reflexiones exploratorias sobre la formación inicial y permanente de profesores y los desafíos pendientes en el debate académico nacional<br>The essay presents academic impressions on the mechanisms of insurance of the quality of the college Education, by means of the historical analysis of the university regulation and the conceptualization of the evaluative approaches in the matter. Besides, reports the experiences lived by the author, as Co­ordinator’s role of the process of Autoeva­luation of Master Program in Education, Political and Management mention of the Austral University of Chile before the National Commission of Accreditation of Post degree, stopping in the practical and theoretical implications of the process. Finally, concludes with some exploratory reflections on the teachers’ initial and training formation and the hanging challenges in the academic national debate
