dc.description The article touches upon the problem of reservation of a special status of the spiritual Christian sacred place – Holy Mount Athos. The task of the research is to show that carrying out research is not the end in itself, it aims at the cognition of T(t)ruth and not so much the truth as the Truth. Modern linguistics, with this regard, is expected to deal with theocentric approach rather than anthropocentric one while studying W(w)ord or N(n)ame. Investigations of the Moscow school of theolinguistics are based not only on the works of Russian religious philosophers but also on the theological works by the Holy Fathers of Mount Athos.
