dc.description The purpose of this study was to determine the preference causes and expectations of the students from their departments, who have education in the areas of trainer education and in administration and sports management in the schools of physical education and sports.The subject group of the study was composed of 730 randomly selected students from the 11 schools of physical education and sports, which consisted education programs on trainer education and administration and sports management areas.Each subject was provided a self-administered questionnaire, which waz composed of sections as king demographic information from the students and evaluating their preference causes and expectations from their departments. The questionnaire was developed by the help of people who are experts in their area. For the reliability and validity of the questionnaire, it was conducted on a pilot group composed of 180 students from the areas of trainer education and administration and sports management.The 68.9 % of the total subject group was composed form males, 56.4 % of the total subject group was aged betwen 20-22 years. The 50.7 % of the total subject group was composed of the students from Gazi University, 66.8 % of the subject group was composed from trainer education area and 55.9 % of the subject group was first class students. According to the results, “For Being Activite and Enjoyable” was the preference cause of the 34.5 % of the subject group, “Being the Best” was expectation of the 52.2 %of the subject group, the 33.3 % of the subject group wanto to work in “sport clubs” after graduate and 72.3 % of them are worry about finding job after graduating.As a conclusion, the study identified that the students have anxiety about their future and if it would be possible they would transfer to the Physical Education and Sports teacher area. Besides these, the students wanted to have opportunities in the sports organizations. The study also concluded that because of problems about finding job after graduation, the students are searching for alternative faclities.
