Resumen:El presente documento es un artículo producto del Trabajo Final de Graduación para optar por el grado de Licenciatura en Orientación de la Universidad de Costa Rica, durante el periodo 2008-2009, que aborda el tema de la salida anticipada del Sistema Educativo Formal Costarricense, a partir del relato de dos jóvenes (un hombre y una mujer) quienes en su adolescencia no concluyeron la Educación General Básica; ambos estudiantes viven en Río Frío, cantón de Sarapiquí, provincia de Heredia. Dichos casos fueron analizados por la autora y parten de la hipótesis de que en el fenómeno de la salida anticipada convergen tanto factores externos como internos al individuo. La historia de cada caso fue construida mediante un estudio de casos, que permitió concluir que factores externos, provenientes del contexto familiar y educativo, no permiten que se de un adecuado desarrollo de factores internos, como el interés y la motivación hacia el estudio, ocasionando a su vez un paulatino alejamiento del o la adolescente del centro educativo ya sea por exclusión, repulsión o expulsión.Abstract:The current document is an article and a byproduct of a final graduate work opting for the degree in a Counseling license at the University of Costa Rica, during the period of 2008-2009, it tackles the theme of early departure from the Formal Costa Rican Educational System, through the story of two youth (a man and a woman) who during their adolescence did not finish high school; both students live near Río Frío, the Sarapiquí area, within the province of Heredia. These cases were analyzed by the author and shared their hypothesis as a part of this phenomenon of an early departure which converged with external as well as internal factors for the individual. The history of each case was constructed through a case study, which permitted the conclusion of external factors, providing a familiar and educational context, but not permitting an adequate development of internal factors, like interest and motivation towards study, causing a gradual move away from the educative center by the adolescent because of exclusion, repulsion or expulsion. |
