dc.description	En el Programa cubano de Formación del Médico General, la enseñanza de las ciencias básicas biomédicas se ejecuta a través de la disciplina Morfofisiología Humana, que se caracteriza por la integración de los sistemas de conocimientos y habilidades de las ciencias básicas biomédicas. Uno de los problemas que enfrenta la disciplina es la de enfrentarse a un claustro eminentemente joven y en su mayoría con poca experiencia docente en el desarrollo de esta asignatura. Teniendo en cuenta este aspecto y la identificación en nuestra institución de bajos rendimientos académicos en los estudiantes de 1er. año de la carrera de Medicina, específicamente en la asignatura de Morfofisiología Humana, nos propusimos desarrollar el siguiente artículo de revisión que nos permita identificar las posibles causas a partir de las experiencias docentes de otros escenarios docentes, y proponernos acciones para trasformar la realidad actual.<br>In Cuban Program of General Physician Training, biomedical basic sciences education is carry out through the Human Morphophysiology as a discipline characterized by knowledge and abilities system integration of biomedical basic sciences. One of the problems challenged by this discipline is to confront with a young staff and most without teaching expertise to develop this subject. Considering this feature and the identification in our institution of a low academic performance in Human Morphophysiology as a subject, we developed the following review article allowing us to identify the possible causes from the teaching experiences of other teaching scenarios, and we proposed actions for change the present reality.
