Experiencia de la evaluación de la competencia profesional en enfermería en el período 1997-1999

dc.description	Se realizó un análisis de los resultados de los exámenes de competencia realizados a todo el país en los años 1997-1999 por el Centro Nacional de Perfeccionamiento Médico. La investigación se realizó en el año 2000 y el universo de estudio lo constituyeron el total de examinados en los años 1997, 1998 y 1999, tanto enfermeros y técnicos como licenciados, cuya cifra fue de 1 444. Se realizó un estudio retrospectivo de tipo descriptivo y las variables objeto de estudio fueron los resultados satisfactorios e insatisfactorios. De los 3 años estudiados, 1997 resultó ser el de mejor logro con el 90,0 % de resultados satisfactorios y en lo que al cumplimiento del plan respecta es también este año el de mejores resultados con el 95,6 % de cumplimiento. Con 100 % de resultados satisfactorios resultaron en 1997 las provincias de Villa Clara, La Habana, Matanzas, Cienfuegos, Ciego de Avila, Camagüey, Santiago de Cuba y el municipio especial Isla de la Juventud. Las temáticas de mayores dificultades fueron esterilización y desinfección, atención al anciano, inmunizaciones, accidentes y Proceso de Atención de Enfermería.<br>An analysis of the results obtained in the competence exams made in the whole country by the National Center of Medical Improvement, from 1997 to 1999, was made. The research was carried out in 2000 and all the nurses, technicians and bachelors who had taken this test in 1997, 1998 and 1999, were included. The figure amounted to 1 444. A descriptive and retrospective study was conducted and the variables object of study were the satisfactory and unsatisfactory results. Of the 3 years under study, 1997 proved to be the best with 90 % of satisfactory results. The best results concerning the fulfillment of the plan were obtained in this year, too, with 95.6 %. The provinces of Villa Clara, in 1997, La Habana, Matanzas, Cienfuegos, Ciego de Avila, Camagüey, Santiago de Cuba and the special municipality of the Isle of Youth, had 100 % of satisfactory results. The most difficult subjects were Sterilization and Disinfection, Geriatric Care, Immunization, Accidents and Nursing Care Process.
