dc.description	Resumen: Este ensayo analiza las posibilidades de la construcción del objeto en un ejercicio de investigación. Se asume que en un proceso de investigación lo propio del investigador es el manejo de la información obtenida de las fuentes relacionadas con su objeto de estudio, sean éstas teóricas o empíricas; es esta reconstrucción lo que pertenece verdaderamente al investigador. A partir de estos supuestos se argumenta sobre las posibilidades que brinda la teoría social y la epistemología a un objeto de estudio específico.La estructura del documento es la siguiente: primero se realiza una breve reseña de la investigación que el autor está desarrollando como tesis doctoral, con el objeto de contextualizar al lector en la dirección que seguirán los ejemplos derivados de los argumentos por discernir. En segundo término se plantea la sustancia de este ejercicio ensayístico, a partir de la manera en que se encuentra un objeto en un campo de estudio determinado y las posibilidades del investigador para reconstruirlo en un ejercicio con proyección empírica o teórica. Finalmente, se plantea una agenda de discusión.Abstract: In this paper we present an analysis of the construction of the object, within the practice of educational research. It is assumed that the role of the researcher deals with handling the data obtained from sources related to the object of study, whether theoretical or empirical. This reconstruction of the constructed object is what truly belongs to the researcher. From these assumptions, it is discussed about the potential contributions of social theory and epistemology in a particular object of study.The manuscript is structured as follows. First, it presents a brief review of author’s research under development for his doctoral thesis. The purpose is to put in to perspective the examples that come from the arguments to be discerned. Next, it is described the main point of the exposition. Author’s reasoning is based on how an object is found in a particular field, and the many possibilities a researcher has in order to build the object of study. Finally, it is introduces an agenda for further discussion.
