Este artigo atualiza uma polêmica que atravessa as relações entre filosofia e educação, pelo menos desde o (des)encontro entre Platão e os sofistas: é a virtude que há de se ensinar? É a política? É a retórica? A tese aqui defendida é que o domínio atual da ignorância e da utilidade é um resultado, lamentável, do triunfo dos ideais sofísticos sobre os platônicos.<br>This paper updates a polemic that goes through the relations between philosophy and education, since the encounter among Plato and the sophists: Is it the virtue that has to be taught? Is it politics? Is it rhetoric? The thesis defended here is that the current dominion of the ignorance and the utility is a result of the regrettable result of the triumph from the ideals of the sophists over the platonic ones. |
