dc.description	The article is devoted to sociological analysis of processes of formation of the «global city» in the Far East of Russia. In the work as the most important parameter is considered the readiness of the citizens to the participation in the global world. Vladivostok residents assess the changes taking place in their city extremely negative. The migration readiness is increasing, and the outflow of population is growing up. Not accidentally, to the traditional outflow of «the West», in the European part of Russia, was added today, the outflow of «South», in Hong Kong and Thailand. Moreover, almost there is no difference between people of different material wealth. People who live in complete comfort and who «make ends meet» are leaving. It is also the prevalence of negative attitude towards innovation taking place in the region today. This problem is still not the subject of specific studies, may become a serious obstacle on the way of creation of the global city in the Far East of Russia. On the material of the survey, the author makes a conclusion that the population is not ready to accept the new status of the city now.
