dc.description The discussion, a democratic activity, is peculiar to human. The schools are responsible for supplying democratic discussion attitudes and behaviors to the students. The most important duty of this process belongs to teachers. The teachers must be a good model to their students in this matter. Interaction of the teachers and thestudents in the classroom is very important in the process of the discussion education. In this research it was investigated the relations between the instructors’ and their students’ discussion attitudes and behaviors. The examplification in the research was occupied by the students in the faculty of education. To analyze the data, arithmetic mean, paired sample t test and Pearson’s r correlation test were used. At the end of the study, the difference between attitudes and behaviors of the instructors and the students were found significant. Also there was a significant correlation between them. Besides, it was found positive and significant correlation among different dimensions of discussion, method, goal, process and result.
