dc.description Se analizan los resultados de las inspecciones integrales realizadas por el Ministerio de Salud Pública a 7 centros de Educación Médica Superior, durante los cursos académicos 1992/93 y 1993/94, para evaluar la calidad de la formación de nuestros profesionales y de su entorno docente-atencional. Se valora cómo el propio proceso de inspección se convierte en un factor promotor de la actividad creadora de profesores y educandos hacia el alcance de una mayor calidad en la formación y superación profesional y cómo ello incide en los propios servicios de salud. Se hacen recomendaciones.<br>Results of integral audits carried out by the Ministry of Public Health in 7 centers of Higher Medical Education during 1992-1993 and 1993-1994 are analysed. These audits were aimed to evaluate the quality of training of our professionals and of its teaching/care delivery environment. It was evidenced that the very process of audit becomes a promoting factor for the creative activity of professors and students towards the achievement of a higher quali-ty in the training and professional excelling, and how all this influences on health services. Recommendations are included.
