dc.description Article is devoted to the lexicographic description of phenomena of culture. It is shown that it is important to give the broad cultural representation and the actual comment in a dictionary. It is noted that there is 2 principles of the lexicographic description: principle of inclusiveness and completeness and principle of the thematic organization. The essence of the lexicographic description of phenomena of culture consists in revealing and presenting this phenomenon in all its completeness i.e. to specify all information which native speaker knows about a reality.
