dc.description <div align="justify">O presente artigo pretende tecer uma discussão sobre quem são os alunos, em situação de inclusão, encaminhados para o atendimento educacional especializado frente à nova Política de Educação Especial na Perspectiva da Educação Inclusiva e como as orientações deste documento vêem produzindo efeitos nos contextos educacionais e nas redes de ensino. Refletir sobre quem são estes alunos remete à reflexão sobre este espaço educacional que os acolhe com o objetivo de criar condições de permanência desses alunos no contexto do ensino comum. O documento apresenta uma mudança conceitual e terminológica para referendar o contingente de alunos caracterizados como da “educação especial”, bem como, lança as diretrizes para a educação especial, dentre elas, para implementação e funcionamento do Atendimento Educacional Especializado (AEE). Após adiscussão no plano teórico, legal e conceitual objetiva-se apresentar como estas modificações vêem acontecendo no contexto da Rede Municipal de Ensino de Santa Maria.<br><br>Abstract The present article intends to bring about who the students in situation of inclusion are. The ones who are sent for specialized educational assistance facing the new policy of Special Education under the perspective of the Inclusive Education and to Know how the directions of this document have produced effects are asks for a reflection on this educational space that shelters them in order to create conditions so that they can stay in the context of a common study. The document presents a conceptual and terminological changeto reinforce the contingent of pupils characterized as being of the “Special Education as well as sets up guidelines for the special education, for the implementation and functioning of a Specialized Educational Assistance (AEE, in Portuguese). After the discussion in the theoretical, legal and conceptual plan, it is aimed to present how these modifications have happened in the context of the City Teaching Net in Santa Maria, RS state, Brazil.</div>
