dc.description Este artigo discute as relações entre o trabalho docente e o trabalho de pesquisa, procurando explicitar em que aspectos eles se distinguem e em que aspectos estão fortemente inter-relacionadas. Destaca os processos que criam forte estímulo à pesquisa e à publicação dos seus resultados, enquanto que, em relação à docência não se registra o mesmo estímulo que leve à criação e à inovação pedagógica. Discute também a problemática da gestão acadêmica, destacando alguns aspectos que sinalizam a fragilidade das condições que esta gestão está se dando, condições que não facilitam a emergência de espaços de reflexão sobre os processos de construção e transmissão de conhecimentos que apontem para práticas pedagógicas inovadoras que explicitem e fortaleçam a interação necessária entre pesquisa e ensino.<br>This article discusses the relations between the teacher's teaching activities and research work, trying to clarify in which aspects both are different and in which aspects they are closely inter-related. It emphasizes the processes which act as a strong incentive to research and to the publication of its results, whereas the same incentive is absent from the teaching activities and pedagogical innovation. It also discusses the problems of academic management, pointing to some aspects which indicate the fragility of the conditions under which management is taking place, conditions which do not lead to spaces of reflection on the processes of construction and dissemination of knowledge which point towards innovative pedagogical practices which might explicit or strengthen the necessary interaction of teaching and research.
