The purpose of this study is to determine the attitudes of first and fourth grade students attending to classroom teaching department towards geography course. The working group of this study is occurred of 200 students. The data of the study has been collected by using “Geography Attitude Scale” developed by Demirkaya and Arıbaş. A 30 items geography scale is in the type of 5 point likert scale. The reliability co-efficient of the scale is Cronbach Alpha .92. In data analyze frequency and arithmetic average has been determined and t-test has been used in comparing the attitude points for the free samples. The meaningfulness level is .05 in the analyzes. In the end of this study; it has been found out that the students‟ attitudes towards Geography course in classroom teaching programme is in the medium level. Students‟ attitudes differ according to their grades but don‟t differ according to their sexes and education type. |
