Para contribuir a esclarecer el concepto de espiritualidad en el campo de la salud y su importancia en las relaciones profesionales del equipo, el autor valora que pese a la estrecha imbricación entre lo cultural y lo espiritual y la posibilidad de utilizarlos como sinónimos en otros campos del saber, es necesaria su diferenciación en el ámbito de la salud para hacer más objetiva la delimitación de los objetivos propiamente culturales de los paradigmáticamente espirituales. Partiendo de la concepción martiana de lo espiritual como lo que induce a comportamientos ajenos a las necesidades corpóreas, se establece un continuum de necesidades individuales correlacionadas con los niveles biológico, psicológico, social y cultural de la integralidad del ser humano, y se destaca el salto cualitativo implícito en asumir como propias las necesidades de otros, como delimitante del nivel espiritual.Se señala la importancia de no descuidar en el proceso formativo del personal de la salud, el cumplimiento de los objetivos educativos además de los instructivos, tanto en su proyección cultural como espiritual, para garantizar egresados capaces de satisfacer a los usuarios por su preparación científico-técnica y sus valores humanísticos<br>For contributing to clarify the concept of spirituality in the field of health and its importance in the professional relations of the team, the author considers that, despite the close interrelation between the cultural element and the spiritual element and the possibility of using them as synonyms in others fields of knowledge, it is necessary to differentiate them in the context of health for objectively delimit the cultural objectives and the spiritual objectives. Taking as a basis the Marti´s concept on the spiritual thing as that which induces behaviours not related to the body´s needs, a continuum of individual needs is set, which correlates with the biological, psychological, social and cultural levels of the integrality of the human being. The qualitative leap involved in assuming the others´ needs as if they were ours is stressed as an expression of the spiritual level. The paper stresses the importance of fulfilling the educational and instructional objectives in the formation of the health personnel, both in their cultural and spiritual projection, so as to guarantee graduates capable of meeting the users´ needs on account of their scientific-technical preparation and their human values |
