La incorporación de recursos emblemáticos supuso una manera particular de caracterizar a los personajes en el teatro español de los Siglos de Oro. La estrategia dramática para construir la imagen del héroe es, por lo demás, compleja y se apoya en el desarrollo de diversas técnicas y recursos que se complementan y refuerzan. En particular, este estudio se centra en la imagen que Lope de Vega ofrece de García de Paredes en la comedia La contienda de García de Paredes y Juan de Urbina. |
