dc.description The aim of this work is to detect the common and different features of phraseologisms with ‘eye’ component in the Russian and Tatar languages. In the process of its realization the following tasks were fulfilled: to define the range of phraseological units containing such components; to give the quantitative characteristic of these paradigms in two different structured languages; to observe their correlation on the typological level. The scientific novelty of the given investigation is determined by the fact that phraseological paradigms with the ‘eye’ component first become the target of special scientific research and in particular in the phenomenon of their variability in the very paradigms. The investigation indicates that in both languages lexical variants are most widely represented. Less frequent are grammatical variants. And the least are orthographic ones. In this paradigm of Russian phraseologisms they are not recorded.
