dc.description En Cuba se desarrolla desde hace 5 años la política de la educación permanente. A partir de los primeros resultados del Proyecto Salto Cualitativo en la provincia Pinar del Río, entre los trabajadores de la atención primaria en salud, se fueron incorporando estas concepciones en cada uno de los territorios y provincias del país. La salud de la población y la naturaleza de sus problemas deben ser elementos organizadores, de los que surjan las diferentes acciones para el desarrollo de la educación permanente en los diferentes niveles. El control social de la gestión de la universidad y de los servicios se constituye en el elemento central de la participación social y nuestra democracia socialista.<br>The polity of continuing education has been developed in Cuba since 5 years. From the first results obtained with the Project of the Qualitative Leap in the province Pinar del Río such concept has been incorporated in each of the territories and provinces of the country among the workers of primary health care. The health status of the population and the nature of its problems should be taken into account as organizing elements from which the different actions for the development of continuing education may arise at different levels. The social control of the university management and of the services constitutes the main element regarding the social participation and our socialist democracy.
