dc.description	RESUMEN: La Educación Secundaria es un tema de enorme interés para la Historia de la Educación española. Las numerosas reformas realizadas, la escasa duración de las mismas, ponen de relieve que es todavía hoy un problema no resuelto en el Sistema Educativo español. No se han analizado todavía suficientemente las aportaciones que se realizan en el periodo estudiado. Con este trabajo se trata de poner de relieve que es en él cuando se realizan las más importantes manifestaciones teóricas acerca de la Educación Secundaria. A través de documentación de la época y teniendo como referencia las publicaciones sobre ella se analizan y se explican las posiciones y planteamientos de la Iglesia Católica, así como las posturas del profesorado de los Institutos de Segunda Enseñanza que representaban a la enseñanza oficial. Los resultados del trabajo constatan que gran parte de las aportaciones realizadas no se han llevado a la práctica y las principales cuestiones planteadas siguen sin resolverse.<br /><br /> ABSTRACT: The Secondary Education is a topic of enormous interest for the History of the Spanish Education. The numerous realized reforms, the scanty duration of the same ones, emphasize that is still a problem not solved in the Educational Spanish System nowadays. The contributions that are realized in the studied period have not been analyzed sufficiently yet. With this work it is a question of emphasizing that is in it when the most important theoretical demonstrations are realized about the Secondary Education. Across the documentation of the epoch and having as references publications about it, the positions and approaches of the Catholic Church are explained, as well as the positions of the professorship in the Institutes of the Second Education that represented the official education. The results of the work state that great part of the realized contributions have not been removed to the practice and the principal raised questions continue without being solved.
