O processo de ensino-aprendizagem de estatística em cursos de graduação na área de negócios, em especial na Administração, representa um grande desafio para professores e alunos. O uso de recursos da Educação a Distância, especificamente o e-learning, pode tornar este processo mais flexível, reduzindo a ansiedade experimentada pelos alunos. Entretanto, apesar da grande potencialidade da EAD em reduzir barreiras de tempo e espaço, atividades mal planejadas e implementadas de forma equivocada podem causar problemas ao processo educacional e limitar a aprendizagem dos estudantes. Adicionalmente, problemas de evasão e baixa satisfação do estudante podem prejudicar o processo educacional. Assim, este trabalho, que se configura como uma pesquisa qualitativa e descritiva, tem como objetivo discutir e propor um método para implementação e acompanhamento de atividades a distância em disciplinas de estatística de cursos da área de Administração, de forma a proporcionar aprendizagem efetiva. O método foi baseado nos principais recursos disponíveis nos ambientes virtuais de ensino-aprendizagem, tais como fórum, chat, correio eletrônico, materiais de leitura, exercícios, FAQ e enquete. Apresenta-se a definição dos recursos, seu objetivo, o tipo de interação permitido por cada um e os passos necessários para implementação e acompanhamento das atividades. O método proposto pode ser ampliado para outros contextos, nas áreas de humanidades e biológicas, pois trata da educação on-line para adultos.The Statistics learning-teaching process in business undergraduate courses, especially in Management courses, represents a great challenge to teachers and students. The use of the Distance Education resources, specifically the e-learning tools, may make this process more flexible, reducing the anxiety experienced by the students. However, despite the great potentiality of Distance Education in reducing space and time barriers, bad planned activities that are implemented in a wrong way may cause problems to the educational process and restrict the students’ learning. In addition, problems like attrition rates and students’ low satisfaction can cause losses to the educational process. Thus, this work, which is a descriptive and qualitative research, has as its goal to discuss and propose a method for distance activities introduction and attendance in Statistics subject in Management courses, in a way to provide effective learning. The method was based on the main available resources in the virtual environment of learning-teaching, such as forum, chat, electronic mail, reading material, exercises, FAQ and survey. It presents the definition of the resource, its goal, the type of interaction allowed by each one, and the necessary steps for the activities introduction and attendance. The proposed method can be applied to other contexts, in humanities or biological fields, as it deals with adults’ on-line education. |
