The present study aims at a short description of the preposition role in quantifying structures. The preposition de (of) appears in three different syntactic patterns: partitive, comparative, and quantifying structures, each of them having its characteristics. The interpretations of de¹, de², and de³ imply various semantic and syntactic aspects which help us not to confuse them. |
