dc.description	Resumen:En este artículo se describe el empleo de las tecnologías de la información y la comunicación (TIC) para combinar los conceptos básicos de metabolismo enseñados en los cursos de bioquímica de la Escuela de Medicina de la Universidad de Costa Rica, con los de estilos de vida saludables promovidos por la Unidad de Promoción de la Salud de la Oficina de Bienestar y Salud de esta misma universidad. Mediante un formato para pantalla de computador, o similar, es posible hacer converger múltiple información, para que el docente pase de ser un proveedor de saber en el aula, a un mediador y facilitador del aprendizaje. Empleando el modelo de diseño instruccional Rapid Prototyping de Tripp & Bichelmeyer, se definieron los requerimientos para elaborar un módulo audiovisual que se denominó Metabolismo y estilos de vida saludables. En las evaluaciones preliminares el módulo desarrollado ha llenado las expectativas iniciales. Es necesario promover un mayor apoyo institucional para el desarrollo de las TIC, procurar la formación docente en su uso y facilitar los recursos técnicos y didácticos necesarios.Abstract: This article describes the use of information technologies and communication technologies (ICTs) to combine the basics of metabolism taught courses in biochemistry from the School of Medicine, University of Costa Rica, with lifestyle health promoted by the Unit for the Promotion of Health, Office of Health and Welfare of the same university. Using a computer-screen format, or similar, it is possible to converge multiple information for the teacher to move from being a provider of knowledge in the classroom, a mediator and facilitator of learning. Using the model of instructional design Rapid Prototyping of Tripp & Bichelmeyer, defined the requirements for developing a visual module that is called metabolism and healthy lifestyles. Preliminary assessments developed module has completed the initial expectations. It is necessary to promote greater institutional support for ICT development, to provide teacher training in their use and provide technical and educational resources necessary.
