dc.description Purpose. The article considers the reasons and conditions of the concept “ecological culture” occurrence. Methodology. Various approaches to this category definition are analysed such as nature - oriented, activity, personal, sustainable development positions approaches. Results. The connection between a society ecological culture and the person ecological culture is described. Practical implications. In organizing the development of ecological culture.
