dc.description In this study we will look detailed at the process review and performance evaluation of schools. In doing so, we focus on control by inspection, the founder and public civilian control. In our review and evaluation of the schools is realising an inspection, which is independent in its activities. External monitoring and evaluation are carried out by the founders (public, government) schools - autonomous regions and municipalities. We provide partial results of research that reveals some of the findings especially from the power control and assessment activities of the founders. External monitoring and evaluation are carried out by the parents, pupils and public. We note the opportunities for participation of these factors on the boards of schools (municipal authorities) across the European Union and Slovakia, as well as different perception of their role and functions in the development of the school.V tejto štúdii sa pozrieme detailnejšie na proces výkonu externej kontroly a hodnotenia škôl. Pritom sa orientujeme na kontrolu vykonávanú inšpekciou, zriaďovateľom a verejnú občiansku kontrolu. V našich podmienkach externú kontrolu a hodnotenie škôl realizuje inšpekcia, ktorá je vo svojej činnosti nezávislá. Vonkajšiu kontrolu a hodnotenie realizujú aj zriaďovatelia (verejných, štátnych) škôl – obce a samosprávne kraje. Ponúkame čiastkové výsledky výskumu, ktorý odhaľuje niektoré zistenia hlavne z oblasti výkonu kontrolnej a hodnotiacej činnosti zriaďovateľov. Vonkajšiu kontrolu a hodnotenie realizujú aj rodičia, žiaci a ostatná verejnosť. Všímame si možnosti účasti týchto činiteľov v radách školy (samosprávnych orgánoch) v jednotlivých štátoch Európskej únie aj na Slovensku, ako aj rôzne ponímania ich poslania a funkcie v rozvoji školy.
