dc.description	Resumen: Este artículo pretende abordar para su comprensión, la complejidad con que los cambios en la estructura socioeconómica y tecnológica, derivados de la globalización, impactan el ámbito educativo. Específicamente en el contexto de las posibilidades de la población joven más excluida de la sociedad y el sistema educativo.Para ello, parto de escuchar a once jóvenes de extracción urbano marginal, quiénes desde sus propios testimonios, plantean el cómo viven y sienten esta problemática, lo que opinan de la educación formal y de las oportunidades que ofrece el mercado laboral para ellos y ellas, así como, su mirada sobre aquellos programas que les ofrecen opciones educativas y laborales alternativas. Es así, como se entrevistan también, a responsables de seis de estos programas.Concluyo que es un imperativo ético, la articulación de reformas profundas al sistema educativo formal, abrir la oferta académica alternativa y subsidiar eficazmente a esta población, como única posibilidad de que la educación pueda servir de tránsito a un mundo laboral digno y equitativo.Abstract: This article tries to understand how the educative environment is influenced by complex changes in the socioeconomic and technologic structures. In particular, my focus is the young population most excluded from society and the educative system.My research is based on eleven testimonies by youngsters from an urban marginal area. They explain how do they live and feel about formal education, the opportunities that the labor market offers to them, and alternative educative, and job options. I also interview six educative and job program coordinators.I conclude that it is an ethical demand to articulate deep reforms in formal education with alternative academic offerings, and effective subsidies. This is the only possibility for education to function as a bridge towards a dignified and equitable labor world.
