dc.description	A system to experimentally determine the resonant curves of the radial mode of piezoelectric samples at different temperatures is presented. Its design is based on the IEEE standard method for measuring the properties of piezoelectric materials. A description of the assembling, testing and performance of the experimental set up is given. PZT: Gd pellets are used as samples and the experiments are performed at different temperatures. Suitable software is used to obtain the characteristic physical parameters from direct calculations and the fitting of experimental curves. The experiment is intended to be a part of a laboratory course for senior students in physics and engineering.
