dc.description	In this paper, the foundations of Einstein’s gravitational equations are expounded, as well as a simplified versión ofthen without tensorial notation, together with a brief discussion on their cosmological implications and the predictionof gravitational waves. The explicit purpose is to link the mathematical formalism to our physical intuition withoutloss of rigour. Such an approach may be useful as much for teachers as for students involved in elementary courses onrelativistic gravitation, by insisting on its physical meaning and clearing the way towards further studies.
