dc.description The purpose of this study is to determine the prospective teachers’ attitudes towards educational research and to state whether their attitudes differentiate according to gender, department being educated, scientific research experience, success level in the courses such as measurement and evaluation, scientific research techniques. In the research survey model is used to indicate the current situation. The research sample is composed of 254 forth grade prospective teachers being educated at the Educational Faculty of Mersin University. “An Attitude Scale towards Educational Research” developed by the researchers is used to determine the prospective teachers’ attitudes towards educational research. The findings indicate the prospective teachers have positive attitudes towards educational research. That gender, department, scientific research experience, success level in the courses of measurement and evaluation, and scientific research techniques aren’t variables leading to change in the prospective teachers’ attitudes towards educational research is obtained in the research.
