The article presents the analysis of the results of empirical study of the motives of the helping behaviour, i.s. behaviour, aimed at helping other people. The whole complex of motives was divided into three groups: the altruistic and egoistic and socio-normative (due to cultural habits, rules of etiquette, the external social demands and expectations). The analysis of the empirical material reflected the presence in the behavior of individuals in one degree or another all groups of motives and their situational stipulation. Also assessed relationship of motives helping behavior of individuals with such components of self-attitude as: «Closed», «Self-confidence», «Self-leadership», «Reflected self-attitude» and «Self-acceptance», which is due to the assumption Y. Reikovsky of the dependence readiness for prosocial activities of feeling person's own values. It was found that the higher the acceptance of yourself subjects, the higher his desire to be guided by the motives of aid, directed solely to the benefit of the needy in it. Also self-acceptance himself subjects allows you to objectively speak about the motives of his actions, which are not always unselfish. The results of the research can be used to understand the desire of man to follow these or other reasons in its activities, as well as in the organization of extracurricular and training work. |
