dc.description	Para el progreso de la Universidad y el adecuado desarrollo y bienestar de nuestros países subdesarrollados se revela la cooperación. Se realizó una revisión bibliográfica con el objetivo de caracterizar la colaboración de Cuba en la formación de médicos a nivel internacional, mostrar el surgimiento, desarrollo y los logros en la formación de médicos, a partir de la cooperación solidaria de Cuba en el mundo, así como exponer nuestra experiencia en la Escuela de Medicina Cubana en Eritrea y su relación con el paradigma social y con la misión de la Universidad. La tradición del internacionalismo de Cuba, en salud, se inició en Argelia, en 1963. En 1975 se inauguró la primera escuela de medicina cubana en el exterior, en Yemen. La formación de recursos humanos en salud, por Cuba, se extiende por diferentes regiones del mundo. Una contribución importante a estos fines fue la creación, en 1999 de la Escuela Latinoamericana de Medicina. Otro ejemplo importante es la Facultad de Medicina en el estado de Eritrea, que se fundó en el 2003 y ocupa el número 11 del total de facultades creadas por la colaboración médica cubana. La educación médica cubana, contiene en su formación y desarrollo un importante componente de cooperación internacional solidaria, con alto sentido de pertinencia y calidad, basada en valores éticos y humanitarios y su papel en la formación de profesionales de la salud en el mundo es protagónico. La cooperación internacional solidaria de Cuba, en el ámbito de la Educación Médica, surgió en Yemen y se ha extendido a Latinoamérica, África, Asia y Oceanía. En Eritrea, la formación de sus profesionales de la salud se corresponde con el paradigma social y la misión de fusión de la asistencia, la docencia y la investigación.<br>For the advance of University as Institution and the appropriate development and wellbeing of our underdeveloped countries cooperation is present. A bibliographic review was made to characterize the Cuban collaboration in the physician training at international level, to show the rise, development and achievements in this type of training, from the mutually binding at world scale, as well as to show our experience in the Cuban Medicine School in Eritrea and its relation to the social paradigm and to University mission. The Cuban internationalism tradition regards health was started in Argelia in 1963. In 1975 the first Cuban Medicine School was inaugurated in Yemen. The human resources training in the health field is spreaded by different world regions. A significant contribution to these aims was the creation in 1999 of the Medicine Latin American School. Another significant example is the Medicine Faculty in Eritrea State founded in 2003 with the eleven place of all the faculties created through the Cuban medical collaboration. The Cuban Medical Education has in its training and development a significant component of mutually binding international cooperation with a high sense of appropriateness and quality, based on ethical and human values and its role in the training of health professionals at world scale is always present. This cooperation has been extended to Latin America, Africa, Asia and Oceania. In Eritrea, the training of its health professionals is in correspondence with the social paradigm and the mission linking the assistance, teaching and research.
