dc.description	In the article authors are dealing with the issue of lifelong education importance, while the dominant dimension is the application of knowledge, habits and skills gained through the lifelong education and their use in the proffesional career. A space demonstrating the issue is the Customs Administration of the Slovak Republic and its workplaces. Main goal of the article is to aim attention to current trends emphasising the impacts of current social changes and their reflection into significant component of individual human existence - its working life, i.e. proffesional career and proffesional life of individual entity.V príspevku sa autorky zaoberajú problematikou významu celoživotného vzdelávania, dominujúcou dimenziou je aplikovanie poznatkov, návykov a zručností získaných celoživotným vzdelávaním a ich využitím v profesijnej dráhe. Priestorom, v ktorom sa problematika demonštruje je Colná správa SR a jej pracoviská. Hlavným cieľom príspevku je upriamiť pozornosť na aktuálne trendy, akcentujúc vplyvy súčasných spoločenských premien a ich premietnutie do významného komponentu osobnostného fungovania človeka - jeho pracovného života a tým je profesijná dráha a profesijný život jednotlivca.
