dc.description	Diversos modelos teóricos y estudios a nivel nacional e internacional han expresado la necesidad de desarrollar por parte de la educación tercería, programas de orden multi y transdisciplinarios que permitan la relación y convergencia de las diversas áreas y dimensiones del conocimiento. Dichos desafíos conllevan procesos epistemológicos que involucran una redefinición del rol de las universidades y la educación terciaria en general como, asimismo, los esquemas de identidad disciplinar y las dinámicas relaciónales de sus académicos y estudiantes. Pese a esto, la organización del conocimiento en numerosas disciplinas ha estimulado modelos curriculares e investigativos disociados, impidiendo cada vez más la integración metodológica y epistemológica. En este escenario, las universidades, en tanto actores neurálgicos de estos procesos, manifiestan una profunda ruptura práxica en torno a la organización disciplinaria, transformando el problema de su integración en uno de los nodos críticos fundamentales de la educación contemporánea. En consecuencia y para efectos de la presente propuesta, se debe añadir que los resultados y debates, dentro del fenómeno de las reformas universitarias, no tienen un correlato investigativo suficiente en el contexto chileno, por lo cual se justifican estudios que dimensionen la discusión global en la particularidad de la educación superior en el país, desde un nivel de indagación no sólo programático, sino epistémico.<br>Various theoretical models and research in Chile and in other countries have shown the need to develop in college education multi and transdiciplinary programs in order to relate different extent of knowledge. These challenges contain epistemológica! processes that involve a redefinition of college and higher education and the identity of schemes of the discipline and the dynamic relationship between academics and students. However, the organisation of knowledge in many disciplines have stimulate dissociate curricula and research preventing to compose methodology and epistemology. Actually, colleges as a principal actors in these processes shows a deep fracture among the disciplinary organisation transforming this problem in a critica! subject in contemporary college education. Finally it is necessary raise that the results and debates in the college educational reforms haven't a research basis in the Chilean context, because of it is necessary studies that think over the discussion about college education in epistemológica! level.
