An Investigation of Multiple Intelligence Areas of the Primary Teacher Education Students

dc.description This research investigated to identify the types intelligences of the students in the Department of Primary School Education according to MI theory. The research was a survey model, having an approach aiming to describe the current status. The sample of the study consisted of the first, second, third and fourth grade students (n= 561) studying in formal and evening course programs of Adnan Menderes University Primary School Teacher Training Department. The sample of 67% (n=376) of the students were studying in formal education and 33% (n=185) of the students were from evening course programs. As a result of the study, the distribution of intelligence areas of the students studying at Adnan Menderes University Primary School Teacher Training Department to each intelligence area was obtained. When the students’ intelligence range dispersion was examined, a ‘moderately developed’ homogeneous dispersion was seen in all intelligence range.
