dc.description AbstractThe Science Teaching, like society, has evolved over time, so that now seeks to consolidate as an autonomousdiscipline with an own theoretical body. Within this process, the emergence of consensus on key terms is necessary.This paper aims to provide an analysis of one of the most common aspects of the didactical proposals today, as theGroup Work. It examines the implications of group work for different learning experiences, and proposes aclassification that allows teachers a better understanding of the meaning in a given proposal, and a guide to the correctway to implement it in practice. A classification is presented as a conclusion, which takes into account the type ofwork as collaborative or cooperative, and its main characteristics in terms of participation of monitors, workingstructure, conditions to be met by group or to assume the roles by the participants.
